Our journey began as a serendipitous encounter woven through a web of connections and shared friends during our first year as mothers, and since then, it has blossomed into a sisterhood. When we met, we immediately knew we were kindred spirits, sharing a passion for herbalism that eventually led us both to study at the Berkeley Herbal Center. United by our commitment to holistic health and a shared choice to have home births with the same midwife and doula (such a small world), we felt forever bonded. Fast forward four years, between the two of us, we have five kiddos (see photo above) 🤎

Inspired by our studies in herbal medicine and the beautiful chaos of motherhood, Kin Within was born. We created products we wished we had during our pregnancies and postpartum—a collection designed to support both mama and baby. We understand that amidst the demands of motherhood, moments for self-care can be hard to come by. That’s why each product is crafted with the intention of offering nourishment and simple joy—whether you're soothing your skin with a balm or body oil, or enjoying a quiet moment with a cup of tea. Our goal is to offer products that support you from within and add a touch of beauty and happiness to those rare moments of self-care.

The name Kin Within beautifully captures our mission—to support your kin and nourish you from within through our handcrafted herbal products. Our goal is to help you feel truly seen and held throughout your motherhood journey. In today’s world, where traditional community support systems have shifted toward more nuclear family structures, the responsibility of nurturing our loved ones often rests on one person. With so much on our shoulders, it becomes even more essential to care for ourselves. We believe that true health begins from within, which is why we focus on nurturing our bodies from the inside out.
